Undercroft is heavily inspired by old RPG such as The Eye Of The Beholder series and early Might and Magic games. The game is presented through a 1st person view, with simplistic graphics.
You can create a party of up to four characters, chosen from five different classes, each with twelve unique skills and three attributes. Mechanically, the game is almost identical to the RPGs of yore: All actions, be it movement or spell casting, are turn based. You turn in 90 degrees "jumps" instead of a smooth motion (similarly, you walk forward in large "steps" instead of a flowing advance). Quests, stores, tactical puzzles, armors and weapons are abound in this traditional fantasy setting.
